If you have been arrested for drunk driving you must call the DMV within 10 days and request a hearing or your driver’s license will be suspended.
It is a crime in California to drive with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher. Anyone arrested for drunk driving must submit to a chemical test. A refusal to take the test or even a failure to complete the test could result in a one-year driver’s license suspension. If you have prior convictions the penalties are even more severe.
